Preparation Strategy For JEE Advanced (IIT-JEE) 2014

Now that results of JEE Main 2014 are only a few days away, you must be feeling butterflies fluttering in your stomach. Next after the result is JEE Advanced Examination, which you must clear in order to get admission into one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). IIT's are the most sought after engineering institutions in country which boast of great academics, exceptional faculty and incredible placements after the completion of engineering degree.

Over 1,50,000 students will be shortlisted in the JEE Main Exam and allowed to appear in the JEE Advanced (IIT-JEE) 2014 Exam. You must optimumly utilise time in-between JEE Main and JEE Advanced Examination to be held on May 25, 2014. Here are some suggestions which could enhance your scores in the JEE Advanced Examination.

  • Start with the topics you're most comfortable with, the topics where you can score easily. This will save your time and allow you to give more attention to the other topics later.

  • Practise with sample papers, previous years’ papers, JEE Advanced mock tests to boost your confidence before the actual exam. For maximum performance enhancement, join JEE Advanced Crash Course or online mock test series. If you find any underprepared topics, you must revise them in- between the mock tests. More number of mock tests for JEE Advanced will definitely help you improve your chances of clearing the IIT-JEE Exam.

  • Practise questions of different levels of difficulty and get comfortable with the questions involving the application of various concepts. Familiarize yourself with every possible kind of questions.

  • Ensure that your preparation is well balanced for each and every subject. Most students tend to be strong in two subjects and the third subject is less prepared. You just need to be prepared well enough in all the three subjects. Every subject will give you the opportunity to get you good enough scores. So give equal attention to Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics.

Since there is still some time, you should keep up the consistency of your preparations with a calm mind. You might be able to find your name among the top 10,000 students who will be getting admissions in IIT's this year.
